I've arrived at the tonal values (shading) chapter of "Drawing for the Utter and Absolute Beginner," and I'm definitely not ready to move on to that. I looked at "Drawing for the Absolute Beginner" and the early chapters seem richer in basics so I've started that one now. This is the first exercise, Structural Sketches. It was important for me to scan and post the face so that hopefully, some day I'll be able to compare it to something better. It's Deb, failing to keep her eyes open in front of the TV.
