Contour Drawings

After "Drawing for the Absolute and Utter Beginnger" had me draw some wire shapes and copy upside-down contour drawings, it had me start drawing objects-- drawing with contour lines, as if they were made of wires. I wasn't supposed to focus on how the final drawing looked or how things matched up in the end. Which is good because these drawings are crazy. They're asymmetrical and the proportions fluctuate, but there are some good elements to them, and they're probably better than anything I've managed to draw before.

And here's Augie's version of the Dinoco Helicopter, which he drew next to mine:

First Drawing

This was done at Mac's bachelor party. After reading the first page of "Starting to Draw" which taught me that lines coming toward you above the horizon go up on the page and lines coming toward you below the horizon go down on the page.
